Our volunteers were out canvassing today at the City of San Mateo's first annual Bark in the Park at Central Park in San Mateo.
It was dog heaven! So many tails wagging and so many pro-housing people! Volunteers talked to dozens and dozens of San Mateo residents who understood how important it was to vote Yes on Measure T this November 2024.
This fun event was a fundraiser for the Police Activities League, a non-profit founded in collaboration with the San Mateo Police and Parks & Recreation departments to help keep local kids on a positive path. The Parks & Recreation mobile van was out with their activities, there were booths spoiling dogs with delicious treatos, and of course the "best of" competition was happening on the stage.
It was fun to be had by all, and our volunteers were able to do double duty with getting their pup cuddles in while signing people up to put a yard sign up in support of Measure T.
