We are honored and excited to announce that the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 2400 has chosen to endorse Measure T on the San Mateo 2024 ballot!

Living in the Bay Area is expensive enough, but living in San Mateo, CA? You need to make over $200,000 a year just to afford to rent a 2 bedroom apartment. IAFF Local 2400 supports Measure T because they understand that our public safety workers should not be commuting an hour or more in order to perform their duty.

By allowing zoning updates downtown and along transit corridors, we can incentivize building housing stock at all levels of inventory so people at all income levels have the chance to live near where they work and so our working families can have the opportunity to live much closer to where they work.

About IAFF Local 2400: IAFF Local 2400 represents thousands of public safety workers across San Mateo County who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect ours. Additionally, this organization donates countless of hours of service to the community to uplift those with a variety of needs. In 2016, IAFF Local 2400 established the San Mateo County Firefighters Foundation in order to more formally provide monetary support to both members and community members with need. Nationally, the organization represents over 350,000 full time professional fire fighters and emergency medical workers in 3,500 affiliates across the United States and Canada.

Join Team Measure T! You can endorse the campaign as an individual or organization - we would love to have you on our team.
